12/01/2003: "Borough Council Committees and Public Hearing Tonight"
Perkasie Borough Council Committees meet tonight, following a special meeting of Borough Council for a public hearing authorizing the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority to apply for a grant from the US Environmental Protection Agency on Perkasie's behalf, for up to $300,000 to help remediate environmental conditions at 207 and 209 S. Ninth Streets in Perkasie.
Among other items on the Committees' agendas are preliminary/final approval of the First Savings Bank/Silk Works Land Development Plan, discussion of waiver requests for the Hewitt Minor Subdivision Plan, discussion of the sale of property at Seventh & Market Streets, Board and Commission appointments, proposed revisions to zoning regulations for elderly housing, 2004 wage and salary schedules, 2004 real estate millage rate, and 2004-2008 Capital improvement plans. Remember committee meetings are for discussion only; no action can be taken on these items tonight, but may be acted on at the regular meeting of Council in two weeks (12/15/03). The public is welcome to attend; the meeting begins at 7 PM with the public hearing, and committees to immediately follow, at Borough Hall, 7th & Chestnut Streets, in Perkasie.
